Join your Daytona Waverunners Women's Tackle Football Team in our season finale and continue our 2019 Hunt for the WFA Division III National Championship. Your Daytona Waverunners will bring our high powered offense and "Purple Reign" defense to beautiful Daytona Stadium on Saturday June 8th as we host the South Carolina Smash at 7 p.m.
The Waverunners are part of the Women's Football Alliance (WFA), which began play in 2009. The WFA is full-contact, 11-on-11 football, with 70 teams worldwide.
“Waverunners are prevalent here in Daytona, and we have a lot of players on our team that like to run,” Williams said. “So we came up with the Waverunner offense. We have a team that doesn't give up and sets the cutting edge. We have a bunch of leaders.”
“We have a multitude of backgrounds, from former military and a current Daytona Beach police officer to a couple of nurses and an accountant,” Williams said.
Your Daytona Waverunners practice at DME Turf Field on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays, and get a great gym workout at Club Fitness Daytona on Mondays.
