Joe Johnson's 3 Point Showdown
1. Eligibility:
Open to ages 16 & up. Participants must register prior to the event
2. Format:
Each participant will have 60 seconds to shoot as many 3-point shots as possible from designated spots on the court.
3. Shooting Spots:
Shots must be taken from behind the designated 3-point arc. Markers will be placed to indicate the shooting spots.
4. Scoring:
Each successful shot made from beyond the arc will count as 1 point. The total score will be based on the number of successful shots made within the time limit.
5. Tiebreaker:
In the event of a tie, a sudden-death shootout will be held. Each tied participant will take one shot, and the first one to make a basket will win.
6. Equipment:
Participants must use the basketballs provided by the event organizers. No personal balls are allowed.
7. Safety:
All participants must wear appropriate athletic gear, including non-slip shoes.
8. Timekeeping:
A designated ISO Foundation timekeeper will be present to monitor the time for each participant and announce when the time is up.
9.Disqualification:
Participants may be disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct, including but not limited to, arguing with officials or disrespecting other participants.
10. Prizes:
$1000 and the "Joe Samuel Stallings Jr" trophy will be awarded to the top scorer.
11. Waiver
All participants must sign a waiver acknowledging the risks associated with basketball and releasing the organizers from liability. (Waiver on www.isofoundation.org site)
